Benta Miguel Restaurant is located at bottom of Port Belate, in Ventas de Arraitz, in the Valley of Ultzama (Navarra). The building dates from before 1800 and formerly Benta Miguel was resting place for travelers and traders. Currently the benta is run by the fourth generation of the same family and the restaurant offers traditional cuisine made with top quality products from our own pantry, vegetable garden and livestock.
In our cuisine, it highlights our famous “menestra de verduras de la Amatxi” (cooked mixed vegetable plate, Grandmother’s style), the stuffed veal escalope Benta Miguel, veal jowls, hake koxkera style, suckling pig and lamb roasted in a wood oven, and homemade desserts like goxua or milk curd, made with fresh milk from our own sheep. We also offer seasonal dishes such as fresh asparagus, menudicos, dove and mushroom, among others. In recognition of our cuisine, in 2014 the Government of Navarra gave us the category of “Specialized in Navarre Gastronomy Restaurant”.
We have two dining rooms, one with 60 seats and a smaller one with fireplace, with capacity for 22 people. We also have ample parking and a small children’s play area.
